Spring Outing for Kites

2024-04-01 17:07

The spring grass turns green again, and kites fly all over the sky. Kites, as intangible cultural heritage in China, have a long history. Last weekend, Haida organized a challenging and fun spring outing, which was also a combination of art and sports, for foreign teachers in the Canal Sports Park.

We distributed kites' making material packages to foreign teachers, including kite skeletons, painted fabrics, pigments, wire boards, etc. Teachers sat together and began to unleash their creativity, drawing freely. Blank kites were instantly endowed with rich colors.

Kites symbolize the spirit of pursuing freedom. After the kite painting was completed, teachers came to the open lawn, showing their skills and striving to fly their kites. Although the wind was not helpful that day, we discussed kite flying techniques and exchanged ideas with each other, which made the activity meaningful.

By personally drawing kites to experience the joy of creativity, foreign teachers have enriched their understanding of kite culture and experienced the joy of drawing kites.
