April, the most beautiful month of the year, is perfect for outdoor adventures. On April 20th, Haida Foreign Teachers' Team and local community members gathered at the picturesque Banshan Forest Park for a unique hiking competition titled "Climbing Together, Friends at the Summit." Participants from different cultures bonded through sports and deepened friendships through cultural exchange.
At 10:00 AM, the competition officially began. Over ten foreign teachers from Haida and a dozen local community members set off energetically along the winding mountain trails. The race was intense yet filled with encouragement, showcasing both competitive spirit and teamwork.
After a thrilling contest, Sam from Haida foreign teachers' team claimed first place with an outstanding performance, receiving a certificate and a prize.
After the race, everyone enjoyed a hearty meal at a countryside restaurant. Fresh ingredients and authentic local dishes delighted all. Laughter filled the air as participants exchanged stories from the hike and shared cultural anecdotes.
The post-meal game session brought even more joy. Traditional Chinese games like "Touhu" (Pitch Pot) and "Undercover" (a deduction game) kept everyone entertained. During "Touhu," players focused intently to test their accuracy, while "Undercover" sparked hilarious moments as teammates tried to outwit each other. These games bridged cultural gaps and introduced foreign teachers to Chinese traditions.
More than just a sports event, "Climbing Together, Friends at the Summit" was a celebration of cultural exchange and friendship. Participants bonded over shared challenges and left with cherished memories.
